After passing 69 years of his life, now Azhar Mea can barely see properly due to poor eyesight and faces difficulties to walk. He uses a bamboo stick to walk as a support. Escaping the military attack in his village, Mondu Goudu Chara of the Rakhine state in Myanmar, he, along with his family members, came to Bangladesh and took shelter at block J-11 of Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar. Where his house is on the slope of the hill, which makes it more difficult for him to go for his basic needs such as going to the toilet, specially at night. 

When heard about ActionAid Information Center of his camp which helps everyone to find out way to solve every problem, he came here to share his problem with them. After listening to all his difficulties our safety committee member went there and fixed street light to select a proper place to fixed streets light at necessary points. 

Now people of the camp, who were suffering from the same problem like Azhar Mea, can move easily event at night, which was difficult for them before fixing lights.

So far, ActionAid Bangladesh has fixed at least 24 light in 6 block in camp 11&12 to ensure better and safer movement for the Rohingya people in the camp making the hills less hazardous.
