“I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this training, as it has greatly enriched my technical expertise. The implementation of this new system and app has instilled in me a strong belief that we will significantly reduce our paper usage in the future, resulting in more efficient and accessible sponsorship activities. Moreover, the availability of this child tracking database, accessible from the highest to the community level, will foster equality and ensure accountability. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to ActionAid Bangladesh for developing this app and system and for providing us with this invaluable training." - Beauty Akter, Child Sponsorship Officer of LRP 49.

ActionAid Bangladesh is thrilled to announce the launch of the Sahakom Mobile App, a groundbreaking technology designed to revolutionize the way we communicate and connect with child sponsors. In line with our commitment to creating meaningful and lasting impacts in the lives of children and ensuring effective supporter communication, we have conducted a comprehensive two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) program for our community-level staff from 11 LRPs from 21 to 22 May and also conduct 2 days long ToT for country office level staff from 16 to 17 May on Sahakom Mobile App Piloting & Content Collection.

Sahakom Mobile App is a cutting-edge mobile application developed by ActionAid Global. It’s a Real-time Update, where we can use media sharing, through this we can share photos, videos, and messages with FAs, and FA can use them for sponsor communication and enabling a visual and interactive experience. At ActionAid Bangladesh, we believe in transparency and accountability. Sahakom Mobile App enables us to provide real-time updates and progress reports to sponsors, ensuring complete transparency in our work. By utilizing this powerful tool, we aim to create a meaningful and sustainable impact in the lives of children, empowering them to build a brighter future. This process also sticky address child safeguarding issue.

The ToT program for the SK Mobile App Step Down Training spanned over four days (two days for country staff and two days for CP & LRP staff) and brought together a diverse group of passionate individuals from partner organizations. The program combined interactive sessions, hands-on exercises, and group discussions to foster collaborative learning and enhance participants' understanding of the SK Mobile App and its potential for social change and effective CS communication.

“This training experience on the CS system and app is like a journey of curiosity to me. The journey begins with learning and experience and will end when we become successful in using these without any difficulties. I believe this new system will make our work smarter, green, and faster in the coming days. Thanks to all the colleagues and ActionAid who worked on the development of this new system and app.” Shared by Asfak Siraj Bandhan, Associate Officer – Child Sponsorship, ActionAid Bangladesh.
