On 28 May 2022, LRP-51, Chanpara celebrated Menstrual Hygiene Day to sensitize the community about menstruation and menstrual hygiene. Menstrual is a natural bodily function of women and girls for the reproductive cycle that is a normal fact of daily life. However, not only in Chanpara but in most parts of Bangladesh, there are superficial taboos and stigma around this issue. People especially women and girls do not feel comfortable talking about it openly. Eventually, it creates challenges regarding access to menstrual products, education about menstruation, and period-friendly sanitation facilities.

Members from Reflection Action Circle, Youth Group, and Child Forum celebrated the day by making awareness posters and participating in rallies and discussions. Considering the importance of the issue, representatives from the local government, Dr. Aivee Ferdous and Mr.Bajlur Rahman joined the women and young people to observe the day.
