The project aims to raise awareness of the basic right of women and girls to live free from violence. It is also intended to enhance access to police and legal aid protection services that will empower survivors of VAWG to seek support and legal redress. Participation of women and girls in decision making processes and their capacity to hold duty bearers accountable will be increased through  mobilization and solidarity activities with other women’s movements and networks. In addition, men and boys will be educated to help change their attitudes and behaviour towards women. Finally change makers/catalysts will have improved understanding of urban poverty and women rights, thus augmenting their knowledge of processes and leadership skills required to make cities safe for women and girls and the ability to support women affected by violence.
